Just came back, here is my report:
- There were five Chinese and seven Indian people at the march. It was small fun group.
- The group was small but the outcome as you will note from my report below was productive
- Fighnow, who is the Chinese member of mitbbs.com had initiated this 7th July march. Due to short notice we couldn't publicize this event but still it was good to see a bunch of people show up.
- Fightnow and his friends were fully prepared with big banners and all, with appropriate slogans
- In the beginning there was some police presence but they left an hour later, I guess because of a small group
- We carried our placards and banners on the sidewalk and got lot of "honk" support from people driving by.
- Luckily a Chinese TV station happened to be in the area and interviewed many of us. The station is called KCSN 30, if I remember correctly and this news story will air on Monday evening in Bay area. I will post details about this after hearing from fightnow.
- The parking is free on weekends.

What we need to do is:
- Organize a bigger march on 14th July
- Organize a similar event in DC if possible to get more mileage
- Prepare some banners and placards etc.
- Bring water, it was warm
- Have fun

I live at Walnut Creek, but currently out of town. 21st would be favorable for me, but obviously if you already have people responding for 14th then go ahead by all means..

I opened SR in Jan...in Feb they sent letter that security checks are pending..so I took INFOPASS after talking with attorney...went to INFOPASS and was rudely told that it could take a long time because Namecheck is pending..no idea how long it will take...i was like..if security check is pending do my FP and check everything...but no...they want to do name check..okay..then attorney said to wait 1 more month...he called last week to USCIS and they said...oh we responded on FEB..to the original SR..the response was..its still pending..hell..i know that already..what the hell are u doing about it ?? i thought they were supposed to work on an SR and get it out of the way in 60 days..now lawyer is asking to wait 1 more month because he is saying 60 days from Feb...GOSH..and i am waiting for 140 also...filed in July went to NSC-TSC blackhole..God knows what will happen...

I appreciate your spirit, although I don't agree with your belief that you own the thread or the messageboards by the virtue of your creating a thread.
What I posted was a plea to introspect (more so as the first anniversary of the D.C. rally approaches) - it was in no way dismissive of your efforts, or an effort to ridicule or demean your thread or its spirit.
Not sure why you felt the need to be rude - being firm and clear about your goals is a sign of leadership, and being blunt may get you some more brownie points. However, brash/rude behavior is not a substitute for that clarity and firmness, imho - particularly with those who may be working towards the same goals as you are (albeit coming at it from a different angle).

thanks for taking the initiative and donating again manish1905. It is sad to see only a few 100 'active. Most people want to see results before donating, but most don't realize we can't get results without thousands working first for many months.
So its up to us to work extra hard to achieve things that will benefit 500,000 people.
Things like Visa Recapture, which benefit 100s of thousands benefit everyone including EB3, as there are only about 40-60,000 EB2s left.

This situation can affect any of us at anytime. My dear husband was diagnosed terminal 4th May 06 and passed 13th May 06, the day he passed my sons immigration cases died with my husband

My attorney sent documents to NSC on July 2nd 10.30 AM
Transferred from NS --> TSC with receipt date Aug 29'th.
My cheques were cashed on Aug 29th. Have not received the receipt numbers physically by psotal mail.
My question to you is " Will TSC send the receipt number documnets directly to me or to my Attorney?"

My friends check encashed today from TSC. His Attorney send application (6/20) to NSC and received there on 6/21.
So long way to go... I am not sure next weekend estimate will also hold good for July 2nd filer. :) Don't kill yourself and it will not make it faster.:D :D :D

All officials have talked about processing 60k visas in a month to avoid visas going waste.
None was honest enough to say the unused visas expire on 09/30 NOT 06/30.
So, why the mad rush to give out all visas by 06/30?? We all know why..
Well on that she will just pass the buck to USCIS -- that was their problem -- and USCIS is DHS' problem not DOS (her Dept).

Men don't realize that make up is the magic that makes these ugly ones look pretty. :D

I beg to differ. I prefer Nandita Das over Katrina. Nandita is more brains with reasonable beauty.
In America people having more debt has better credit history. In our country it would be considered stupid to give credit to a man in debt.
If America is so unfair, who/what is compelling you to stay, heard there is an apartment available in Nandita's bulding in Bombay.

Sincerely, I dont think its a problem for anyone to send $100 or 200. Most of the people here are not seeing any action from IV core in the last 6-12 months. And we guess same to hope for even for future. Many guys in other forums are writing against IV saying they will no more pursue any campaigns as the dates of core members are now current and they will not do anything that may jeopardize it. I am also not seeing any action eversince I joined here. So what is the point. Why dont we fight our case oursleves. I know unity is strenght, but when its not there, doing nothing is a a bad idea. This is not to hurt anyone.
